This is the "One man's trash is another man's treasure" page. You may have, or know of, things that you don't need or want and possibly throw away normally. But these are things I know of uses or have demands for. Some of these things are items the shop can never seem to keep in stock because they are hard or expensive here to get or there is a big demand for them. Some of these things are for people who are working projects and are trying to help the local populations so they will learn a more productive way of life. When I can, I have them listed on the "Worthwhile Causes" page.
If you have any of the following items and don't need or want them, please contact me. Some I will pay for or know those who will, the others I know of needy families and charities that will distribute them. OR, if you need things that I may help with, let me know that too!
Last but not least, If you have any ideas on ways to recycle anything down here that is commonly becoming trash. I would love the hear these ideas as well.
clothes
CD and DVD cases
school and medical supplies
old sun and eye glasses
pots and pans
Batteries, all sizes
kayaks
old computers
working cell phones (see cell phone recycling page)
Twist ties (don't ask!)
There are some cases where the cart comes in before the horse. One example is that a local school was donated three computers for their students, the problem now is that there is no electricity to the school. SO, some other volunteers are stepping forward to build them a solar station to power these computers. Now the need is for batteries and panels or wind generators. Anybody out there?
